না বলা কথাগুলো

“ইউরোপিয়রা যখন প্রথমবারের মতো উত্তর অ্যামেরিকাতে (আজকের যুক্তরাষ্ট্র) আসলো, তখন অ্যামেরিকার আদিবাসিদেরকে তারা বলেছিল—এরা বর্বর, কারণ এরা উলঙ্গ হয়ে ঘুরে বেড়ায়। তখন ইউরোপিয় নারীরা তিন স্তরের পোষাক পড়ত। তাই ইউরোপিয়দের কাছে আদিবাসীদের এই নগ্নতা ছিল পশ্চাৎপদতার লক্ষণ। অথচ আজ আমরা নিজেরা উলঙ্গ হয়ে ঘুরে বেড়াই, আর মুসলিমদের পশ্চাৎপদ বলি। কারণ তাদের নারীরা অনেক বেশি পোশাক পরে। আর একারণে আমরা আজ মাথায় কাপড় দেয়া নিষিদ্ধ করতে চাই। এর চেয়ে বর্বর কি আর কিছু হতে পারে?”
